Lifting of the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) doesn’t mean the bird flu risk has gone away – good biosecurity is still vital in ensuring there are no more cases. Lifting the AIPZ means that as of noon 15 May 2021, the mandatory enhanced biosecurity requirements will be lifted. It also means all types of bird gatherings will be allowed provided we have been notified 7 days in advance and the current conditions of the general licence are met.
